Preheat the oven to 190C/375F/Gas mark 5
Place the butter, sugar, molasses and lemon juice in a pan, add the spices and salt. Heat to boiling. Remove from the stove, cool and add the sour cream, and bicarb. which has been dissolved in hot water. Stir in the flour. Mix well. Turn on a floured board and roll very thin. Cut 5cm rounds and place on a greased baking tray. Bake for about 15 minutes. Makes 6 doz. crisp biscuits.
