Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas mark 4
Cream together the oil and sugar. Add the sour cream. Sift together the flour, baking powder and spices. Blend in with the creamed ingredients. Mix in the nuts and dried fruit with the milk.
Drop by spoonfuls onto a lightly oiled baking sheet. Bake for about 10 minutes. Cool on a wire rack and store in a tightly closed container.
