Preheat the oven to 190°C/375°F/Gas mark 5
Cream together the butter and sugar. Beat in the sour cream and vanilla; stir in the dry ingredients until well blended.
Drop by half-teaspoons on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes, and cool slightly on baking sheet before transferring to plates.
